Dismantle the clock
Dismantle the clock
Hello hour hand.
It seems we meet again.
I’ve been staring at you wondering,
Could time just possibly end?
Time goes slower,
When you’re anticipating change.
Change for good
Change for better
When time is the one,
Changing me.
I can blankly stare
Try not to blink
But the time swirls and continues to
taunt and laugh at me.
I could
Hold down the hour,
Tape down the minute,
But the seconds would still add up.
I’ll just dismantle you
like I had to
dismantle the moon.
Hopefully we will both move on soon.
Until then, I’ll listen to your
soothing tune.
Clicking
Ticking
Reminding me,
time
is
never
ending.
