Tired
tired
desolate and in despair
running
tears running down
down my face into my lips
they are chapped and bloody
seams are falling apart
scraps of cloth for clothes
whose clothes?
not mine
must of been hers
the girl with the missing eye
or the father
who lost his son to the fire
they were once a family
dinner at the table
every night
now they eat nothing
no need
but the hunger
it crawls through me
i don't get food
i am food
animals
they claw and scratch
once i had ten fingers
max ate numbers four and five
he said goodbye
the rest didn't
didn't get a chance
i laid them down
down and closed their eyes
they went to sleep
deep sleep for years
are they back yet?
it is my turn to rest
just to disappear
away from the madness
the sin and smiles
no it isn't okay
won't get better
better give up
at least i left my mark
upon your skin
just so
so tired
