I've always been a tad bit more mature,
I've always done my best,
to be grown up and trying
not to fail the test.

Though with one glance at you,
I knew I'd fall apart.
You were everything
I said I'd never start.

You were my drug,
my addicting disease,
you made it feel
like my worries did freeze.

Perhaps if I'd
done better at math,
then maybe this test
I would have passed.

'Cause no matter the drug,
f*** the disease,
I can tell you one thing,
your worries by far have only increased.

And then it was over,
the high and the joy,
I felt like one of Never-lands,
very lost boys.

I felt like a child,
way more than before,
even Merlin couldn't tell me
what was in-store.

No matter the therapy,
Whatever the pain,
you're still the only drug,
that keeps me sane.

We all have a addictions,
some more known than others,
but everyone of them,
grieved by their mothers.

And now your the thing
I’m trying to quit.
Though look back now,
you've only just re-lit.

Maturity doesn't lie,
with a man or the book,
maturity lies
at the depth of a brook.

Nothing ever comes twice,
and different than before.
Don't worry you'll know
which drugs are what for.

And now that I'm gone,
I know you'll be fine,
for everyone has a song,
Darling you were mine.
