Ever since you left
My body has been rejecting the theft
Of my heart
Keeping you in my brain
Is now the only thing that keeps me sane
But you alone is an overwhelming thought
So the way this battle of feelings is fought
Is I listen to sad songs
The ones I knew all along
Would be my only companion
Even if you’re sweet words filled my soul’s vacant canyon
The tragic words and somber melodies of music must replace
You in the gaping empty space
I guess the words I love you were a misunderstanding
Because now I'm standing
ALONE
