freaks and phantoms

white ghosts scatter my skin
spirits haunted by pain and sorrow
refusing to go away
they fade like all ghosts
along with the memory of cause
but never disappear
they haunt me
they won't leave me alone
new ones join the old and forgotten
these ones more vivid
they are red
angry
festering
I don't tell anyone
only freaks have phantoms
running through their heads
cutting like blades into their sanity.
