Waking up
6:00 AM.
My alarm cries out
threatining to make
me go crazy if I dont
wake up.
My bed cries out to me not to leave,
as if my bed’s my
best friend.
But I have school.
My worst enemy.
I walk into a shower,
that feels like snow,
but it gets warmer until
it's raining acid.
After I’m dressed,
waffles have a 6:15
meeting with my
stomache.
The toaster dings,
as my waffles pop
onto my plate.
As I douse them in sticky, warm,
buttery maple syrup, I turn on
the TV. I automatically hit the
remote buttons 3, and 2
as if a second nature.
My favorite show,
Teen Titans Go appears on
the screen.I stare at the screen
silently, eating my waffles.
My mom says it's time to go so
I quickly shove the rest
of the waffles in my mouth
grab my bag and leave.
Even after sugary blueberry
waffles covered in syrup
I’m still tired.. I think about
the different obstacles that I will have to
suffer through to get back home.
Back in my warm bed.
Math, Gym, Art, History, Spanish
Science, and ELA.
As I walk into the Mrs. Bravo’s
Math class, I push the bully
named tiredness aside and
start my daily routine at school.
