Captured
On the late shadowy evening
you strolled into the
deserted dead town.
You walked into the old,
hardwood store carrying, nothing
but the clothes on your back.
You heard the sirens.
Coming closer and
closer.
You panicked grabbing the mask.
You fidgeted capturing the rags…
They got closer by every breath.
You grabbed the last item on the list,
the knife.
You knew they were around the corner.
You bolted.
Fast out of the store,
around the corner.
You heard the rubber squealing.
Yet it was too late.
