Engulf my heart with the flame
that has long since burned out
feel my corpse cold skin
its been a long time
since I've felt luke warm
a long time since
the sun has graced its
languid gold touch upon
my irish cream skin
(i thought we were forever)
but forever would have to disintegrate
until we were nothing/
i don't feel sorry our light,
the pure glow of which sent
our souls colliding together
was extinguished.
(i know better than to hope for
something that was
lost to begin with)

This is based off of a relationship I had. There are no hard feelings now. I will always care about him. I just wish he knew during the months we dated, that I lost a very good soul, due to my selfishness.
