The Flying Things
She plummets into the chasm
and water splatters across her face
although she has fallen from such a great height
she hardly even shakes
unphased not shattered
she is untouched by harm
a lone rock
rising and falling
but always looking above
She, the rock has longed to be
with graceful birds
among the trees
wishing to soar amongst the flying things.

I'm not sure what insipired me to write this. I feel like it symbolizes depression in a way. The girl or the rock is crashing, but is never hurt, and though she is continuously falling she wants to be in the sky flying.
