Displeasure
Do you ever hear or see something and it completely ruins your mood?
Something like the sound of your alarm going off,
Or when you find out your favorite TV show got cancelled.
That moment when your crush starts dating someone else and you kind of feel betrayed because you thought y’all had something special when in reality, it was a few moments of eye contact.
That’s what I call displeasure.
Those times when you’re riding with your mom and you say you’re hungry hoping that she’ll stop and get you something fatty and delicious to eat, but she hits you with the line, “There’s food at the house.”
When your sock keeps falling down,
Or when you have a little loose flap of skin on your finger and you pull it off thinking it’s only a little skin but it turns into a gaping wound.
That’s what I call displeasure.
Times when you think you looking good all day but when you get home and look in the mirror and see you got a huge bat in the cave for who knows how long because not a damn person said anything to you.
When you meet a person that embodies the voice of the ex-wife and see them everyday
That’s what I call displeasure.
Those nights when all of your friends are out but you because you have to work at a job that you don’t even like.
Having a class that you don’t know anyone in it, but most of the work is with partners or groups.
When someone eats the food you been thinking about all day,
Those are some of life’s displeasure.
