You Don't Know Her
You don't know her.
You don't know her at all.
You've never seen the way she can smile,
Lighting up the world from within.
You've never heard her laugh,
Bubbling and shaking uncontrollably with joy.
You've never seen her eyes glow and dance,
Pulling you into their sparkling mischief.
You've never felt her heart rise and soar,
Overwhelming the world with its strength.
You don't know her.
You don't know her at all.
You've never seen her eyes darken,
Destroying every remnant of innocence.
You've never felt the heat of her anger,
Burning in a murderous rage.
You've never seen the fire spark and flame,
Turning into a consuming monster.
You've never heard her voice lower,
Hatred seeping from it like thick, black blood.
You don't know her.
You don't know her at all.
You've never seen her huddled all alone,
Crying as if she knows nothing else.
You've never seen her at night,
Shaking with weakness and helplessness.
You've never felt her overwhelming emptiness,
Creating a chasm of hollow and aching pain.
You've never seen her wishing to be loved,
Begging whatever God is out there to listen.
You don't know her.
You don't know her at all.
You've never seen her lift her head,
Her eyes glistening with the past, but resolute.
You've never felt the hope she has in her,
Budding and blossoming in the darkness.
You've never heard the music in her head,
Playing a rising melody that fills her lungs.
You've never seen her eyes open to the world,
Seeing beauty in moments that others pass by.
You don't know her.
You don't know her at all.
You've never felt her chest fill with emotion,
So strong it's almost dangerous.
You've never seen her gaze into the distance,
Sunlight exploding from her heart.
You've never felt her spirit ache selflessly,
Pained for another sad or hurt soul.
You've never seen her feel this thing called love,
Nor how it transforms her very being.
