Ode To Old Behavior
Blurred dreams,
Turned lucid,
With nothing shown but you,
Forsaking me,
Keeping me from the rest,
Why have you come?
To taunt me,
To keep me away from my prize,
I do deserve what they have,
Yet you tell me that I don’t,
Twisting my reality to suit your needs,
Never have I walked alone,
Always followed by you,
A shadow,
A shell of what I used to be,
The past,
Telling me to go back,
To your prime,
To the way you want me to be,
But no,
I will trudge forward,
Through all in my way,
You cannot hold me back,
You cannot keep me here,
In my nightmares,
Yes you are the embodiment of my demons,
Keeping me from what is good,
But I too yearn for the taste of victory,
And unlike you I will have it,
Soon.
