Beautiful Nightmare

Keeping me awake during my sleep filled nights
Showing the best yet the worst of me.
Coaxing my demons to sing like angels,
They were my friendliest enemy.
It was the lightest darkness i could ever find.
Sleeping to hide from my nightmares,
Only to fall asleep to more.
My dreams were a restless peace.
There's no safe place to be,
When it's most dangerous in your head.
Looking for the darkest shadows
Just trying to find my way home.
