Bring me the sunset in a cup so I may cherish its light forever.
Bring me all the sunflowers, daisies, and lilies you can find,
so when this world goes dark from destruction
you and I can find hope.
Bring me the salt from your tears
so we can remember the hard times.
Bring your heart on your sleeve too
so we can enjoy our last moments together.
Bring me the sunset in a cup so I can quench my need for love.
But only until the sun falls below the shoreline and the petals fall to the ground.
