Clear
Clear is the crystal blue waters
Once polluted with dirt and dust
Clear is the lapping waves that
Once roared in an angry gush
Clear is the lone winding river
That once let rocks halt its flow
Clear is the desolate bank that
Once wept in pain and sorrow
Clear is the shallow stream that
Once trickled deep with fear
Clear is the plunging cascade
That once shed so many tears
Clear is the scenic waters
That now glisten in the sun
And shimmer in clarity
As the dry, somber days are done.

I wrote this as a reflective poem. I was looking back at my life in relief, realizing all of the obstacles I'd overcome. I realized I was so thankful for where I was, so happy that I was able to fully appreciate and enjoy my life. I had shed all the drama and tears of the past for this fresh new start.
I realized that no matter how incredibly impossible and aggravating something might seem, there's always a way to cope and move on. Looking back, we always seem to have a different perspective; our heads aren't always clouded with intense emotions. Once we move on from the conlict that's bothering us, we're finally able to be clear.
