Friends.
Whenever I watch her my heart
flutters. I just want to pull her into my arms.
Whenever she gets upset I want to hold her beautiful
face, pull her in, and kiss her
Unfortunately we are nothing more than friends
Sometimes I feel nothing but alone
When she's not here, I am alone
I tell myself to believe and I listen to my heart
I love her, but to her we’re just friends
At night when we're together she falls asleep on my arm
I love to watch her rest. I always hate to wake her
She's just so effortlessly beautiful
She has this one dress that's absolutely beautiful
But, she never wears it when were alone
She styles her hair so it gently falls down her
back and the beat of my heart
increases. I grab her arm
because tonight we're going to meet our friends
We go out to a fancy restaurant to catch up with our friends
They all tell her she looks beautiful
as I release her arm
I'm surrounded by friends but I still feel alone
The pounding of my heart
grows louder as I watch her
She makes conversation and talks about her
life. She explains her job to our friends
The words she says I hold close to my heart
Her voice is subtle, yet beautiful
My friends ask if I still live alone
I politely tell them I do as she playfully punches my arm
When she gets nervous she scratches her arm
She’ll look at me for support and I can't turn from her
When she talks to me I no longer feel alone
We say goodbye to our friends
I tell them I had a beautiful
time. She has a hold on my heart
I don't want to be alone, I need my best friend
I pull her tight in my arm. I just wish she’d understand how I feel about her
She's beautiful, and I love her with all my heart
