Desire

Desire is a funny thing,
The way it makes one twist and turn,
Some Artists desire to sing,
Fireman desire to burn,
but I desire something more,
and I know this does not sound nice,
I desire to be a poet,
As time freezes my words with ice.
Being a poet is many things,
It is not an easy task,
And while you many not win a ring,
You can make anyone gasp,
I wrote this poem because I desire,
Desire to do much more,
Than sing and put out fires.

You don't have to be amazing to be a poet.
