Two Toned
I’d like to think of myself as a bright lavender.
Like a wildflower dancing in the wind,
cheerful as can be without a care in the world,
loving with a dash of sarcasm.
The perfect flower… the ideal me.
Sadly that bright lavender flower slowly wilts into a dusky black weed,
with roots that are deeply entwined within my heart.
The laughter and smiles start to fade,
and dark bitterness blooms creating,
the perfect weed… the unwanted side of me.
