stars starts scars, stuck
My thoughts fall like pebbles, but my
basket is still empty, my page is still blank,
my cup only half full. The tiny sensor
radar in my eye watches everything, my
brain types it out like the old manual typewriter
sitting with blank paper in my desk—
my mind gets stuck, the “O” key won’t
retract, my ideas are, are, there, there….
somewhere…
I reach to unstick the key, and fast, the pebbles
start falling again, faster, and faster,
too fast for me to catch,
the grammar is gone, then, I have to type an “O”
again. Stuck.
Then, the rain starts…
