Cat nap
twitch
come on, wake up
the light soaked in
and shone on his warm face
poke
he smiled knowingly
and groaned
his brunette curls reflecting orange and gold rays
nudge
I suppressed my grin
but made sure to capture every color in his face
happy pink cheeks and the smooth rise and fall
of his chest had me mesmerized
time was laggard
his face was a sunset and I didnt want to miss
his arms folded in a neat scramble
like the arrangement of beautiful fuzzy ringlets
in thick bunches framing his face
yawn
he chuckled groggily, and rubbed his face
when he open his eyes
snap
green and gold foliage danced before me
a cat's gaze implored mine
ever alert and ready to pounce
danger
I shrank back and averted my eyes
smirk
he straightened up and pretended he had no spectators
good morning, you sleepyhead
sigh
