I feel uninspired

uninspired because there’s no stars to compare your eyes to
so uninspired that not even the full moon
on a cold autumn night can help
uninspired because all the books to read have been read
I wish inspirational words would flow smoothly out of my mouth
but they won’t
because there’s no moonlight that “speaks”  to me
the sky is clear
and the city lights are shining bright
but my inspiration is nowhere to be seen
