When Will You Be Satisfied
Taking your first
breath, the crisp air envelopes you
steps, as the road awaits
words, speaking to many, living your
fantasy, with a grin on your face.
A moment can’t pass beyond
thinking, what you could have done
second guessing, Was it worth it?
pausing, being isolated from the crowd
taking a step back, only to realize what you have discovered.
Knowing my life before,
you are caring just as much as I did
feeling, what I felt
working hard, sacrificing the possibilities
hoping, to have a chance to be free.
Today we Thank you
showing, the endless odds
acknowledging, not only your people but the whole nation
impacting, everyday lives
believing, to achieve our goals
Memories last from
graduating, making a life past one’s prime
traveling, seeing the world in a whole new perspective
wishing, being broke on the streets
dreaming, wishing for peace.
