Request
Lend me a lifetime
I know you can't afford it,
But maybe I can pay you back, with interest.
Lend me a century,
I know it's a lot, but maybe you can store your reluctance
Within my wrinkles.
Lend me a decade,
I know it's hard,
But I could give you a photo album,
With the added bonus of my memories.
Lend me a year,
I know, even this is hard,
But I will spend it flying across the world,
So that every season will be summer.
Lend me a month,
I know you are reluctant
But I will take February,
On a non-leap year.
Lend me a day,
I know it pains you,
But I will use only the nighttime,
While you are sleeping, you will not notice.
Lend me just a second,
Time, I know you are limited,
But I stand with my biological stopwatch in my hands,
Saying please.
