Suburbia
We’re all trapped in
our own Suburbia.
Our are feelings reflected in the
experiences of our Youth.
Some Fools grow up thinking
they live a fairytale, but the
Heaven of the glory days
has become the hell
that nothing can Ease.
We Touch only the surface of
the Blue neighborhoods we grew up in
when we were once Wild and free.
We thought we were Cool,
but we didn’t know any better.
So watch out for the Suburban Bite
and the luster of having it all.
For one day, you may wake
up and realize you’re in
the suburban hell that you created too.

This is a found poetry piece. In creative writing class we had to create a list of 10 things and create a poem, about 15-25 lines, that included the 10 things. I chose to use song titles from Troye Sivan's album, Blue Neighborhood.
