Neighbors
When it was fall we were strangers, or so I thought. You knew me, but i didnt know you, or that you lived next door. I looked out the window without acknowledging that anyone else called the street home.
During Winter you made me fall in love and every morning i looked out my window towards your house, longing to be there with you.
In Spring you broke my heart and I cried every morning when I opened the curtains and knew she was in your bed across the yard.
But now it's Summer, and the trees have grown leaves to block your home. I'm starting to forget it's there as I look at the pretty sunrise and listen to the birds building nests in the tree I used to kiss you beneath.
