Dawn & Dusk

While the Dawn lay sleeping,
Dusk views with pride as
Dawn grow strong in his slumber,
And lays the world down for him
Once again.
And all the Yesterdays and Tomorrows
That he walked consciously between
were the tools of his trade,
paving the path towards today.
And as the Dawn awoke, he finds Dusk
Sleeping silent and a world away.
What could Dawn ever know?
Of crimson hours, brought down like
Timber and tide.
