the truth
Once upon a time,
There was a little girl
With a mommy who didn't love her
And all she wanted was for her mommy to love her
She knew she was different,
She also knew that it didn't matter
She lost hope
That anyone would notice
Notice the bruises
Care about the tears
She got taken away from her mommy
And she thought maybe someone would love her
Like her different
Instead she saw all the lies.
All the lies the world tells,
that little girls will always have loving mommies and loving daddies
That smiles are contagious
Once upon a time
A little girl
Discovered the truth.
