“Don’t tell them,” said the little devil on my left shoulder.
“But you have to it’s the right thing to do,” said the angel on the other shoulder.
“Don’t you want to win?!” sneered the devil.
“You’re only cheating yourself,” preached the angel.
A quick decision may not be too bright,
I don’t want to start a “dogfight.”
I want to win but not this way.
I want everyone to have a fair chance at play.
I strut up to the coach, “I stepped out of bounds.”
The whole team looking dumbfounded.
I’ve never felt that good about myself after a loss,
That was my last year of lacrosse.
