The Voices
January 10, 2017
“I don’t know” one voice within me said.
“I say, yes. You know it’s the only way.”
“STOP STOP STOP!!” I scream with my hands held to my head.
“But what if…” the good voice starts.
“Just let me take control. Have her listen to me.” The voice like the devil on my shoulder says.
“SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP!!” Tears are now rolling down my face, salty in my mouth.
I take the bottle…
Tip my head…
And lay back in my bed to sleep…
