Cherish her Homegoing
Your body has fallen asleep
Here on earth we all weep
Suddenly you were taken away from us
Yet as we mourn today
We must continue to trust
For Your plan, my God, has no falter
This we know on our knees, praying at the altar
Oh how so many will miss your precious being, for
your soul now belongs to Thee
Lets take comfort in that heaven is where
your home shall ever be

I chose the "other" option, when choosing what kind of poem this is. It's an elegy. One of my best friend's mother died last week, very unexpectedly. This poem is for Ms. Alishia! We will miss you!
