Oh how I miss
It’s been some time
Since our last visit
And oh how I miss
The sweet smell of nature’s bliss
But this time was different
The air filled with gas
And a film came over my eyes
Painted with a shade of gloom
The tree fort that had once stood
Now fallen and no longer in use
The path that seemed like it was paved
Because I walked it almost every day
The shallow ponds swarmed with
Birds, now covered in grass
With no return
I used to leave my bike
At the beginning of the trail
By the road, with no worry
Now I keep close watch and run back in a hurry
And oh how I miss
How it used to be
Now there is nothing for me to see

The place in the poem is an old path that leads to a tree fort built by some kids years before I found it. I haven't been there for almost 4 years. I took so many people there and so many great memories were created. But now, 4 years later it's not the same. A lot can happen in 4 years.
