Bit of Sunshine
I hate Mondays. Who does not?
Waking up and leaving to school to rot.
Sunday evening we worry, perhaps a lot,
But try giving the following a shot.
On Sunday evening, relax and play a game of chess
Go to bed early, don’t over stress,
And in the morning do not hurry,
Wake up early and see the sunrise, don’t worry.
Let the sunshine wake you up,
Prepare some tea and drink a cup,
Leave to school, and talk to friends,
About how lovely were their weekends.
Let your day pass by, but look at everything with sunlight,
Making it nice and very bright,
Once you come home finish up with your homework,
Eat some pie, and watch the shadows outside begin to lurk.
But you see my friend, this was a lovely day,
Not very different, if you may,
But you looked at things with sunshine,
Not like you used to, like a prickly pine.

I was inspired by this weekly pang of feelings I get on Sunday evenings. But the lovely sunset inspired me to think of going through a day with a sunny manner.
