Hearing Disabled
I hide the fact that I am hearing disabled
I’m afraid of what people will think
I feel like no one understands
I see people that don't know what I go through
I pretend I don't care about all of this
I think I can't be different
I won't be accepted
I am hearing disabled
I declare for the world to hear it is ok to be hearing disabled
I’m not afraid of what people think
I feel like people understand
I see people that know what I go through
I don't pretend that I care about all of this
I think I can be different
I will be accepted
I am hearing disabled
I believe my life is much more than how I hear
I dream of being a kindergarten teacher
I love the smiles on their faces
I cry when they get hurt
I worry when they aren't happy
I see myself helping kids one day
I am not afraid to tell my story
I am hearing disabled
