Crystal Blue Eyes
He says he wants to be with me but
I’m left dangling by his side with unfinished sentences.
They plague me
Inside I cease to exist
If I come alive his crystal blue eyes are like pistols, they shoot me dead.
I am as much in love as I am in fear
He must want me to take the pain I once caused him
The glances he gives me launch me into my grave.
He aims at my heart with his eyes like pistols.
He doesn’t want to get hurt again by the careless habits of mine
I’ve wronged my love too many times.
I took my love for granted
How could I have been so blind
Now he fires back at me
In order to get even for my crime
He should know love is not about getting even for the hurt
Love is to keep loving no matter the infraction
