You and I
You mutilated me with my own hands,
You coddled my determination,
And warped it to fit your desires.
You baked me from the inside,
Yet quenched the flame of my spirit.
You are my demon that I obeyed.
I worshiped you like a god,
I placed you on a pedestal I could barely reach.
I left myself somewhere in the fascinations of my mind,
I glamourized every piece of you to fit what I wanted to hold.
But my will is stronger than yours.
My existence is more exuberant.
My life
Is more important than you.
