Where I'm From
I come from pancake Sundays with 23 of my family members,
where the kids are so noisy the people down the street can hear.
I come from trips to Beaver lake,
where the kids swim and the adults drink.
I come from football Sundays,
when the leaves fall and the weather starts to change.
I come from Packer Country,
Where we chant “Go Pack Go” at every game.
I come from Sunday ski races,
where spectators cheer for brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, and cousins.
I come from hearing cowbells ring as I cross the finish line,
where my family crowds the ski hill screaming and shouting.
I come from Sundays spent with family,
where we laugh and love.
I come from Hartland, Wisconsin,
where the town is home to all 23 members of my family.
