Plaid Blanket
He owned the plaid blanket
Soft, soaked with tears
Cuddling underneath, reality is gone
Forgetting about everything, almost
Until he used it on someone else
Plaid makes me feel so caged in
He owned the pride sweatshirt
Small, but it fit
Smelling like me, so he wouldn’t forget
Until he gave it back
I’m haunted by his smell
He owned my emotions
Flying in the air when he holds my hand
Crashing to the ground when he canceled plans
Always making me feel needed
Until he left them in the dust
I’ve never felt a rush of energy since he left
