An Enduring Life
I am from a life of family, faith, and friends.
A life of support, craziness, and love,
a life of prayer, church, and hope,
a life of laughter, help, and fun.
I am from a life of memories.
A life of fingers frozen while sledding down our neighbor’s hill,
a life of getting soaked, running through the sprinklers in my backyard,
a life of exciting road trips to my papa and grandma’s cozy cabin in summer’s heat.
I am from a life of passion, hard work, and dedication.
A life of pushing myself to fight for an A in the class,
a life of entertaining and choreographing a show,
a life of dancing until my feet tingle and my legs feel like noodles.
I am from a life of “you can do anything you put your mind to.”
A life of “be a leader not a follower,”
a life of “all you can do is give it YOUR best,”
a life of “love others no matter if they show it back.”
I am from a life of family, faith, and friends.
A life of looking for a purpose,
a life of challenges, yet achievements,
an enduring life.
