Fish Bait

I plunge my feet
into the tank of water
and tiny, gray fish
swarm my feet.
They nibble in between my toes
and on my heels.
I shriek
as I receive a mini electric shock.
“This is so weird!”
The timer goes off signaling
that my ten minutes are up
and I have to stop.
I yank my feet out,
water dripping off my toes,
and sigh in relief.
As I exit,
I can't help
but wish I could feel
the strange sensation again.
