Sweet innocence
Created by my own flesh
My own blood
My first-born son
You wanted love
To share your beating heart
Took your rib to create a foundation
My first- born daughter
Sweet innocence
Too young to know
A serpent slithered into your head
Your whole heart
Disguising it within an apple’s skin
Dressed like a deer
Killed like a lion
Betrayed my trust
Broke my heart
I wish I did not have to punish you
Such innocence
Was taken away
