We Are Dying
We are bruised
but we do not
show our marks off,
we are sick
but we do not
allow ourselves to cough,
we are sad
but we do not
dare to look soft.
We are lost
but we must pretend
we know the way,
we are scared
but we must pretend
we laugh at fate,
we are dying
but we must pretend
we're here to stay.
