Ice-cold
I was told I’m cold
Quiet and emotionless
Like a silent winter day
No birds, no bugs, and no color in sight
All appearances I say
I focus on other things
The freezing wind biting at my skin that makes me feel alive
The crisp air filling my lungs
Characteristics missed by some
Maybe my personality isn’t flashy enough
Maybe I’m not loud enough to catch your attention
Maybe I don’t smile enough to brighten your day
But I think about other things
I’ll always respect you until you until you prove me wrong
I’ll never judge you for something you can’t control
I’ll always try to help
Maybe that’s just not enough
