Lost Loves
That night the stars aligned as if their passion
Their unconditional eternal love
Was fated by heaven through constellations
A gift was bestowed within the mother's core
Their pride and fondness for the unborn babe
Was short lived when their delivery stork
Lost the life wrapped tightly in soft crochet
Countless tears were shed for their missing child
His wife blamed herself for their sudden loss
Her spouse watched helplessly as she lost her fight
Her depression and anger began to cross
Hating herself for falling that starry night
Cursing starry gods in heaven above
That watched her find the man she no longer loved
