Clay and mud beaches
The overpowering smell of dead fish ever present
pawn shop lawn chairs
The river’s always cold
It’s not Hawaii, it’s home
A staticky radio that only works if you bend the antenna just right
spouting the Velvet Underground
Lou reed’s voice procures countless memories
Trying to avoid that gross foamy stuff at the edge of the waterline
Spend all day fishing without a bite
It’s not perfect, it’s home
