Adventures of the Hound MAG
Somewhere, a dog barks,
and dreams are interrupted.
Somewhere, the Earth spins rightly on its axis
and the mountaintops erode
and the mourning in the night
heals itself with the Sun.
Somewhere, the ice is slippery
and there are no monsters under beds
for the children to fear.
But here, somehow,
the night has gone silent.
There is no cure here for the battle wounds suffered.
The guns here
cannot be held
and the shooters cannot be seen.
People here walk around bleeding out
and the best anyone can do is
avert their eyes.
Here, a dog barks,
and the echo reverberates
into another demon of the mind.
Open up the map,
but you will not find here.
The whole world cannot be narrowed down
to a point.
From the perspective of the Milky Way,
here can only be destroyed
with the atomic bomb of justice.
The residents of here stand alone.
But solitude does not stand well.
