Dark.
Dark as night
as my thoughts turn to you
You slip into my head
unannounced
and take over
You turn happy thoughts wicked
and excitement to dread
You take little nerves and turn them to great anxieties
I am on edge
Not just mentally but physically
I am on the ledge
It’s not to high
but enough to hurt
maybe even enough to kill
But I don’t care
I want pain
I want to die
Cutting just doesn’t help
and no one seems to care
or even notice how down I am
But you do
You take my sadness and worsen it
You, depression, is what put me here
Ready to jump
One foot off
Leaning…..
Goodbye
