Pretty Picture
I draw a pretty picture
But I draw it with a twist
I draw it with a razor
And I draw it on my wrists
These pictures that I draw
I never ever share
Because I know deep inside
That no one really cares
So I hide the pretty pictures
Scribbled on my wrists
And go on with my day
With a smile on my lips
But the smile isn't real
Just look me in the eyes
And you'll see this mask I wear
Is just a great disguise
And no one seems to notice
The long sleeves that I wear
Or, maybe, if they do
They pretend they aren't there
So I go and live my lonely life
And try not to care.
But those silly whispers.
They all seem to scare
One day I’ll be all better.
My scars gone at last
But maybe if I jump
That day will quiet come fast.
