Into The Drink

Mermaids in the basement --
come out to play with me.
Combing waves with silvery tails --
lingering in seaweed.
They dip in horizon dawn --
morning after morning --
the sunrise washes over land --
her yellow traffic streaming in.
While fishy tails graze the bay tracing the rosey drink--
I lay upon the sands of time --
drawn to the boundless deep.
