forever & always
when we grow old
will we still whisper
"i love you's"
into each other's ears?
would our hands still
entangle into
tight embraces
refusing to let go?
would our love
dwindle
like snowflakes
disappearing
into thin air
becoming ashes of
burned love
when we grow old
& too tired
to open our eyes & speak
i wish for our hearts
to continue beating
the same rhythm of
"i love you's"
