Me vs. Them

They told me I’d never be able to touch the sky
They told me my words were not powerful enough
They told me I could never make it
They shut me down
So I got up
I chose to put two feel on the ground and tell them instead
I showed them I would grow up to be an astronaut, I’d go father than just the sky
I told them my story, and they cried with disbelief
I found myself, I made it
I am bigger than my bullies
You are stronger than your demons
